Privacy Policy

1. Information stored on your device by the app

To run the games, the app saves the following in its own storage on your iPhone:

• Player names you type in for Take Over and Bad Actors.
• Game settings, such as round length, number of rounds, sound, music, vibration and on-screen controls.
• The category you last chose for each game.
• Whether you've seen the tutorial and each game's rules, and whether a one-time upgrade reminder has been shown.
• A list of which answers you've already seen, so new rounds avoid repeats. It holds answer identifiers only.

The app also creates a short “Switch!” sound clip on your device using Apple's built-in voice. It's kept temporarily in the app's own storage.

This information isn't sent to us or to anyone else by the app. It stays on your device until you delete the app. Like other app data, it may be included in your device backups (for example, iCloud Backup or a backup on your computer), which are handled by Apple or your backup provider under their own terms. Deleting the app removes its data from the device; it doesn't remove copies in existing backups.

2. Motion sensors and permissions

During a game, the app reads your iPhone's motion sensors to detect when you tilt the phone down or up. This happens on the device, isn't stored and isn't sent anywhere. Reading motion this way doesn't require a permission prompt. The app doesn't ask for access to your camera, microphone, photos, contacts, location or other permissions, and doesn't track you across other apps or websites.

3. Purchases processed by Apple

Premium subscriptions are sold and billed through Apple's App Store. Apple processes your payment and Apple Account information under Apple's Privacy Policy. We don't receive your payment details. On your device, the app checks with Apple's StoreKit whether a subscription is active, so it can unlock Premium. Apple provides us with aggregated sales and subscription reports through App Store Connect, as it does for all developers. If you've chosen to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone's settings, Apple may also give us aggregated usage and crash information. That sharing is controlled by Apple and by your settings, not by the app.

4. When you contact support

If you email support@thetakeover.app, we receive your email address, your message and anything you choose to include. We use it only to answer you and help with the app. Our email is provided by our domain and email host, which stores these messages on our behalf. If you'd like us to delete your correspondence, email us and we'll do so unless we need to keep it to resolve an issue or meet a legal obligation.

5. This website

This website has no analytics, advertising, cookies, forms or accounts. It doesn't load third-party scripts.

This website is hosted by Netlify, Inc. When you visit, your browser’s requests go to Netlify’s servers, which receive standard technical information such as your IP address, your browser type, the page requested and the time, so that they can deliver the pages and keep the service running securely. Netlify keeps request-level records of this traffic for a short period, which we may look at only to troubleshoot or protect the site. We don’t use this information to identify you, and we don’t add analytics or cookies of our own. Netlify may process this information outside your country, including in the United States. 6. Children

The app is a family party game. It has no accounts, chat, advertising or sharing of user content, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children. Player names stay on the device.

7. Your choices

• To remove everything the app has stored, delete the app from your iPhone.
• To manage or cancel a subscription, use your Apple Account subscription settings. See Support.
• To ask about or delete your support emails, contact us at support@thetakeover.app.

8. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update this page and its effective date.
